Doucet is a bruising tailback who was the district’s offensive MVP last season and a first-team all-state selection. As Iota gets younger around Doucet, the Bulldogs will rely heavily on him to carry a big workload.
Shuff is a four-year starter for the Bulldogs and anchors the offensive line. At 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, Andrus said, Shuff is far more mobile than his size would lead one to believe. Shuff gives defenses fits and opens the running lanes for Iota’s talented backfield.
Montgomery doesn't have the build of a defensive tackle, but Andrus said his size and strength makes him one of the fiercest competitors the Bulldogs have on that side of the ball. Montgomery’s hands allow him to get rush the quarterback and make plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Ashby is another four-year starter for Andrus and the Bulldogs. He brings veteran leadership to the secondary. He can move down low if needed, but his speed is mostly used at the safety position.
Wallace started at wide receiver last year, but he was a quarterback his entire life before then. Andrus said Wallace has a big arm and great athletic ability and the Bulldogs will go as far as his play will take them.
