Iota running back Luke Doucet continued his im- pressive senior season as he rushed for 319 yards on 22 carries in the Bulldogs’ 30-7 win over North Ver- milion.
Doucet scored three times including a 85-yard- er in the fourth quarter.
Doucet has now gained 1,046 yards on the sea- son on 75 carries and 13 touchdowns.
For his efforts, Doucet was selected as the Eunice News Player of the Week.
Other top performances included:
St. Edmund’s Peyton Marcantel finished with 279 yards of total offense and scored two touch- downs in the Blue Jays’ 35-33 win over Ville Platte. One of Marcantel’s touchdowns came on a 78- yard kickoff return. Blue Jay Kieran Davis added 129 yards on 17 carries and scored twice, including a 53-yard run.
Eunice High quarter- back Simeon Ardoin com- pleted 8-of-12 passes for 129 yards and two touch- down tosses in the Bob- cats’ 33-7 win over Abbev- ille. He also scored on an 11-yard run in the second period.
Mamou quarterback Daylon Ardoin complet- ed 7-of-17 passes for 100 yards and a score in the Green Demons’ 14-12 loss to Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
Basile finished with 273 yard rushing, led by Isa- iah Ceaser (16-117) and Izzy Drehemsis (9-101) in the Bearcats’ 28-13 loss to Grand Lake.
